Bologna-Burger Sliders

Ground bologna blended with ground beef, grilled and topped with pepperjack and grilled onions.

Makes 12
  • 8 oz beef bologna, minced
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tsp vegetable oil
  • 1 medium sweet onion, sliced
  • 6 ounces pepperjack cheese, cut into 12 slices
  • 12 slider rolls, warmed
  • Mustard, for serving, if desired

In a medium bowl, blend together the bologna, ground beef, onion powder, garlic powder and pepper. Form into 12 patties.

Warm the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onion slices and sauté until wilted and lightly browned. Set aside.

Increase heat to medium-high and add the slider patties to the pan. Cook 2-4 minutes per side until internal temperature reaches 160◦F. Top each with a slice of cheese. Turn off the heat and cover the pan to let the cheese melt. Divide onions among the sliders.

Set each slider on a roll and serve immediately, with mustard if desired.
